An Exceptional Lesson:

  1. The word "except” is found frequently in the Bible.

    2. It is synonymous with the word "unless”
  2. This lesson will consider some passages where "except” is used to"

a.       Emphasize some important Bible truths.

b.      Set forth the conditions that must be met for one to be a recipient of the promises of Christ.

a.       When Phillip asked the Ethiopian eunuch if he understood what he read. He wanted Phillip to teach him about Christ.

b.      No one accidently learns the truth all must be taught.

c.       The emphasis is not on the man doing but the one wanted to be guided.

                                                              i.      The eunuch was receptive to being taught.

II.                Except you be converted and become like little Children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:3)
