PRAYER
I. DEFINITION:
A. An act of worship by which we offer up our praise and thanksgiving to God, and
bring our solemn supplications before Him.
B. It is a mindset communication with our Maker, being the object of our worship.
C. Prayer can also be termed as Request, Crying, Seeking the Lord or the Lord's face,
Pouring the heart or soul before the Lord or His face, Calling unto God, A beseeching
of God, and Bowing down to God.
II. THE NEED OF PRAYER LIFE
A. Satan, our advesary, is greator than us.
B. We are fighting against the power of darkness - Eph. 6:10.
C. We are weak - Matt. 26:41.
D. In order to have fellowship with God.
E. We have uncountable needs.
III. PRAYER ENJOINED:
A. Seek the Lord's face continually - IChrn.16:11; Hos.14:2.
B. Ask, and it shall be given you - Matt. 7:7.
C. Watch and pray - Matt.26:41.
D. Men aught to pray always - Lk.18:1-8; 21:36.
E. Ask, and you shall receve - Jn.16:24.
F. Praying always with all supplications - Eph.6:18.
G. Pray without ceasing - IThess.5:17; Col.4:2.
