Message - Re: Holy Spirit Posted By BRO. UCHENNA F. BEKEE on 7/29/2007 3:52:00 PM - Subscribe to this discussion here - Subscribe

Dear,
the holy spirit realy moved the Apostles and some early christians who had the Apostolic Hand layed on them to speak in tongues. but , today, the spirit is giving to the believers as an indwelling spirit and he equally impacts their lifves by helping them develope the right qualities which are called the fruit of the spirit in Gal. 5:22. he does not cause us to speak in tongues for it was not promised to be a contineous thing in the life of the church. 2. speaking in tongues was a miracleous gift of the spirit which was to fade aaway in Icor. 13:6-8.
it is true that the holy Spirit aids us in our prayers, but it is by making our request known to the father in such an appropriate manner. Apostle paul told the Roman Christians that He, the spirit interpretes our prayers unto God.with sighs too deep for a word.
the move of God in our lives is evideinced when we bear fruits, live honest lives as salt and light, and add to our faith the christian graces.
the Holy sprit impactation for miracleous manifestations were for an appointed time. there are rules that must be obeyed by the tongue speaker but today tongue speakers do not do that.
they utter words that are without meaning though they pretend to be meaninful about what they speak.
much can be said about the holy spirit and prayer and tongue speaking.
