Bob is a graduate of Mountain Mission School in Grundy,VA and Milligan College near Johnson City, TN. He has also attended classes at Bluefield College of Evangelism. After working in the Banking industry in Grundy for 22 1/2yrs. and part-time evangelism at the Claypool Hill and Blackey Church of Christ, Bob accepted the call to be the full time Evangelist at the Church of Christ at Claypool Hill in 1997. The church has sponsored a broadcast on WGTH for which Bob speaks each Sunday for over 30 yrs. now.
His wife- Ruth (a graduate of Milligan College as well), has worked as a nurse locally, since 1988 after working as a teacher and girls basketball coach at Mountain Mission School for 9 yrs. Bob and Ruth have 2 children: Amanda Wood of Elizabeth City, NC and Nick (17 yrs old). They also have 3 grandchildren.
