Who Are Those Who Will Not Be Saved?

The Bible speaks of the saved and the lost.  Let’s look at some who, according to the Holy Scriptures, will be eternally lost.  While we look at these, let’s examine ourselves to make sure that we do NOT appear in this group!

1.                 Those who do not want to be saved.  2 Thessalonians 2:10– "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”  (giving excuses like parents, grandparents)

2.                 Those who refuse to do God’s will.  Matthew 7:21 – "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

3.                 Those who have become unfaithful.  1 Timothy 5:12 – "Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.”  How easy it must be for some to leave their first love.

4.                 Those who put off obeying God for whatever the reason, have plenty of time, I’m not ready yet –2 Corinthians 6:2 – "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

5.                 Those who will not forgive.  Matthew 6:15 – "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

6.                 Those who have not put on Christ.  Galatians 3:27 – "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Those who have been obedient to the gospel of Christ.

7.                 Those who will not repent of their sins.  Luke 13:3 – "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

Each person chooses where he will spend eternity.  If a person is eternally lost, he/she has no one to blame but himself/herself.  Remember what is recorded in Hebrews 2:3 – "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?”  Going to heaven should be our number 1 priority, is it yours?
