FORWARD - IS AMERICA A CHRISTIAN NATION?

Today, a debate rages in the media as to whether or not the United States of America is a Christian nation.  Recently our first black president (our second, counting president Clinton) even stated we are a Muslim nation now because of the number of citizens that are followers of Mohammed and worship Allah. The ACLU and other anti American and atheistic organizations are doing everything in their power to erase any vestiges of Christianity from American public life.  They have successfully removed public prayer from the public school system.  (However, as observed by all students, as long as there are exams, it will be impossible to stamp out all prayer to the Heavenly Father.)  Atheistic efforts to remove all symbols of Christianity, such as the Ten Commandments and the Cross, continue unabated.  All of this in the name of the separation of church and state.

To many, the "Separation of Church and State" is in the Constitution and the corner stone of our civilization.  They could not be more wrong.  The truth of the matter is, that the statement so beloved of the liberal left, is not in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, nor any of its amendments.  Nor was it part of the thinking of the Founding Fathers. The Second Amendment reads, in part, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; . . ."  What they had in mind was the establishment of a Christian denomination as a state church as was the practice of Europe at the time.  For example, the Church of England and the Catholic Church comes to mind.

That the president, Barrack Hussain Obama, would announce to the world that the United States is not a Christian Nation, as previously thought, but rather is a Muslim Nation is incredible. Here is a statement made by the highest office holder in our nation - the most powerful head of state in the history of the universe.    Here is a pontification by the product of one of our most prestigious ivy league universities.  Here is an assertion by the consequence of our liberal-arts education gone amuck. Perhaps it is time Americans took a look at the real facts in this cultural war to destroy Christianity, as well as our culture, and our civilization!

The American continent, including the United States, was invaded and occupied by  Europeans. It was not conquered by Asians or Africans - a fact evidently overlooked by some. Western Civilization is the foundation of our culture and civilization.  The foundation of our civilization is based on Christianity, which is in turn based on the Holy Bible. The adjective Holy is not used by Christians of any other religious book, including the Koran (presently spelled Quran), inasmuch as the Bible alone is considered sacred by all Christians.

The founding fathers considered themselves Christians - not Muslim, Hindus, or Buddhists. The founders of this great nation, under the God of the Bible, were not Atheists, Animists, Agnostics, or Pantheists - although all enjoy the fruits of our civilization.  When reference to our Creator in the Declaration of Independence, we are reminded that "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).  These patriots believed the God of the Bible was the only true and living God (Hebrews 10:31).  They believed that Jesus of Nazareth was the only begotten Son of our Heavenly Father (John 3:16).  They understood that the Bible was the inspired Word of that God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), "that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."  As the old typing drill stated, now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country - as well as to the aid of Christianity, as revealed by our Creator in the Book of Books.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" "That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
