To make the point clear - God gave man the wonderful gift of sex and then fenced it in.  That fence, as defined by God in the Bible is MARRIAGE.  I know - how narrow minded can you get?  We must understand that preachers and teachers of the Bible are obligated (2 Timothy 4:1-5) to point our God's will rather than man's.  We SHALL stand before God in the Judgment and answer for our stewardship of His word.  If we have cancer we expect the doctor to tell us the truth rather than patting us on the head, and telling us "not to worry, everything will be OK."

When giving instructions to Titus (Titus 2:1-5) regarding his teaching, Paul pointed out that Christian women were expected to be sexually chaste or pure (vs 5).  In writing to the Corinthian Christians (2 Corinthians 11:1-2), Paul stated "I am jealous over you with godly jealousy." Why Paul?  "For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ" (vs 2).  When our society was more rooted in God and the Bible, the virginity of the bride was expected!  The white wedding dress symbolized the expected virginity of the bride.  So much for symbols today.  As one wag expressed it, the wedding was so formal that even the shotgun was white!

Our society - the America we love - once shared the customs and laws that were based on God's revelation in the Bible as to what He expected His people to be.  The "blue laws" of an earlier day illustrated their effort to model our society after His revealed will.   The God-fearing founders of this nation had a profound faith in our Creator and His providence for His people. America was the new promised land that Christianity might flourish from sea to shining sea.  Our political leaders had to be men of principle and character.  We demanded that our teachers were role models for our children.    

Our society has drifted from a nation that preached chastity and modesty to the practice of same-sex marriage - all in our lifetime!  Amazing.  Sexually speaking, the new national anthem is "Don't Fence Me In."  Our literature and movies are saturated with pornography and homosexualism.  The good guys no longer win and might is right.  Truly, power corrupts, and no good deed goes unpunished.  Corruption seems to be the order of the day and every man does that which is right in his own eyes.

However, KEEP IN MIND, God has appointed a Day (Acts 17:30-31) in which He will JUDGE the world in righteousness by the man He has ordained.  Our assurance is the fact that God raised Him from the Dead.  Keep the Faith!
