One who keeps reasonably abreast of the daily news would think this title is non-sensical. Nearly every day horrendous reports of Islamic terrorist attacks fill our newspapers and TV news. Not only that, but masses of Muslims are shown rejoicing when Americans or other Westerners are killed in such accounts. The most terrible brutality seems to characterize many of their attacks such as hacking off heads, raping and pillaging any who might dissent to their ideology. The real question is WHY? What motivates those who claim Islam or loyalty to the "prophet" Mohammed to act in this way? The authoritative voice in all Islam is the Koran, supposedly revealed by Allah to Mahammad.  Does it generally uphold this kind of ultra-violent activity? Notice these quotations:

Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length,        when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them)..." [Surah  47:004]. Fighting Is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But is possible that ye dislike  a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah  knoweth, and ye know not" [Surah 2:216]. "Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment  of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). And fight them on until  there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah  altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth See all that they do"  [Surah 8:38-39]. "Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and  your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom All doth  know..."[Surah 8:060].

These quotations could be multiplied many times. The Fact that Islam was founded upon principles of armed aggression cannot be disproved. Mohammed started peacefully, but turned to conquest with the word when he was frustrated that many did not heed his teaching. Additionally, Islam turned to governing all whom they conquered. Religion can be perverted, and the founding fathers in America wisely in the first amendment wrote, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." When Muslims become a fairly strong minority, they always attempt to establish Shariah law, and they do so by intimidation and violence. In America, Shariah law would nullify our entire Constitution! It would permit "honor" killings, subjugation of women, polygamy, female genital mutilation, rape, killing homosexuals, slavery, the assumption of guilt (not innocence as does our Constitution), and much, much more. When one looks at human history with an unprejudiced eye (not the white-washed versions of the modern liberals or progressives) it is clear that Islam is perhaps the most dangerous ideology facing the world today.

Most religions, and especially New Testament Christianity (as if there could be any other) teach a peace with God and others. Jesus even said to "Love your enemies bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). The apostle Paul quoted this statement of Jesus in Romans 12:14. He even extended this idea in verses 19-21 and urged Christians to "feed" their enemies and not be "overcome of evil, but to overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). Islam is the most insidious religion today, and if not overcome will destroy the West including the United States of America!
