Joe S. Warlick vs J. C. Mason (Christian Church)
April 25, 1912
Graford, Texas

(By A. O. Calley)

This debate was at Graford, Tx. on March 11.

J.C. Mason affirmed that the Texas Miss. Society, with its officers, is working in harmony with the N.T. Mason hung the success of his cause on acts 6. He did not attempt another argument. Bro. Warlock met him easily.

Bro. Warlick affirmed that instrumental music is unscriptural. He made a strong opening speech. Hew showed a division of the word of God and proved we are under the N.T. -- that God permitted many things in the Jewish worship not allowed now. Mason's arguments were weak, not because Mason was a weak man, but the Bible is against him. The church split at Graford. Digressives built a new house - the debate was held there.
