A debate at Cherry Grove church of Christ, in Muhlenberg, Co. Ky, between T. A. H. Laslie (Gen. Bap.) and T. D. Willis, church of Christ, Sept.13-16.
The general church proposition. Laslie affirmed his proposition, bro. Willis made the usual arguments stressing and forcefully emphasizing Isa. 28:16 and Heb. 9:16,17. Laslie did not object to bro. Willis' definitions, but said that bro. Willis failed to show that the of Shrewsbury, Ky, where he holds his membership, is the same, identical church that existed at Pentecost. The crowds were very large and attention the best.
