Guy N. Woods vs Albert Abbey (Pentecostal)
May 10, 1956
Flint, Michigan

(By Hobart E. Ashby)

Flint, Mich. - April 1-4.

Guy Woods was to debate D. L. Welch,. Mr. Albert Abbey, local Pentecostal preacher, substituted for Welch. Two night sessions were conducted at the Bristol Road church building and two night sessions were conducted at South Flint Tabernacle. The order was very good. The Godhead, baptism in the name of Jesus only, and miracles were debated.

Mr. Abbey was very weak and hardly knew his own arguments. This debate attracted much attention since it was the first religious discussion conducted in Flint for several years. Two Pentecostals have been baptized. Bro. Woods presented the truth in a forceful, kind manner. I moderated for bro. Woods.
