Of course truth triumphed over error. Bro. Hayes did excellent work, pressing his opponent until he asserted that salvation in Mk. 16:16 is not predicated upon either faith or baptism. In the main the usual arguments were presented.
Bro. Hayes makes no boasts as to debating, but stands ready to defend the truth. His Christian deportment in this debate was very commendable. We feel that much good was done and hope a bountiful harvest will be reaped in the future. C. L. Reeves moderated for bro. Hayes.
