Debate declined
F. B. Srygley vs J. N. Hall (Baptist)
October 23, 1902
Hornbeak, Tennessee

(By John R. Williams)

J.N. Hall declines to meet bro F.B. Srygley in discussion at Hornbeak, Tennessee. Hall says, "Srygley is not a representative man and is unfair." If he isn't representative, it seems that the job of defeating him would be easier for Mr. Hall. The brethren at Glass, Hornbeak, Troy, Bethel, Miller's chapel, Salem and Burris Chapel will all endorse bro. Srygley as a representative man. The brethren at Plant have a challenge two years old for R.H. Pique to meet bro. Srygley. The Methodists at Finley could not be induced to meet bro. Srygley again in debate.
