Kindness

Kindness,

We were driving in Canada and were unfamiliar with the area.  As luck would have it we hit a construction zone and our lane was closed. All we could do is put on our turn signals and wait. At some point, maybe ten to twenty cars later we might get over.

We were blessed this day. A young lady let both of our trucks in ahead of here. Most people hate having big trucks in front of them. We are slow and hard to see around. After this act of kindness our heart rates dropped and the tension went away. Things went smoothly after that. We delivered 15 minutes later.

Paul teaches us in 1 Cor. 5:6-8, "Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

Kindness and gentleness is part of what Paul is talking about with sincerity and truth. I have often thought that kindness takes more strength than malice.

From the road and in Christ,

Wally.
