Desire to Save the Lost

Desire to Save the Lost

After releasing his pupil from underwater, the master asks, "What do you desire?"

Lost Need Saved

the lost need found -- to return to God (Lk15.6, v9, vs24&32)

saved from destruction -- of sin & wrath (Col3.6)

Father's Desire

"so loved...that..." (Jn3.16)

not wanting any to perish (2Pet3.9)

Christ's Desire

The Son's mission: "to seek & to save" (Lk19.10)

manifestly demonstrated in the cross (Phil2.8)

Paul's Desire

cut himself off to save others (Rom9.1)

heart's desire & prayer (Rom10.1)

God's Business

HE is the Savior (1Tim4.10) gospel His story (Rom1.16)

We shouldn't take what's not ours! nor can we bear.

What to Do?

Live for Jesus (Tit2.10 / 1Pet3.1-2)

Speak for Jesus (Mt10.32 / 1Cor1.21 / 1Tim4.16 / 1Pet3.15)

When I'm hungry -- exposed -- tired... what do I desire?

The Power of Desire

It is not difficult to do what we desire; it clears the path before us.

We must always refine (focus) & fuel our desire -- to 'light the fire!'

And Agrippa said to Paul, "In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?" And Paul said, "Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am--except for these chains." (Acts 26:28-29)
