Greetings from your preacher,
As we strive to work together here in the La Feria church of Christ, I am reminded of the oneness found in God's word. In Matthew 16:18, we read how Jesus said he would build His church (singular). In John 17, we read there about Jesus' prayer for his people to be one. And in Ephesians 4:3 and following, we read, "Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Therefore, let us remember there is one church, which is the body of Christ. Let us serve Him faithfully by being that one church we read about in His word.
I look forward to assembling with each of you this Sunday, in our bilingual service, Bible study will be at 10 a.m. Worship service will be at 10:45 a.m., and our fellowship meal will immediately follow worship. I will be doing the Bible study, and brother Javier will be delivering the sermon. Thank you.

PRAISEWORTHY KIDS
This past Sunday in the children's morning Bible study, Leia, Zoe, Jillian, Ariel, and Benny continued studying the Lord's model prayer. The children all opened their Bibles to Matthew and found 9:6. Jillian read it aloud. They practiced Matt. 9:6 in song and examined the meanings of the words ye, art and hallowed. They also considered the persons of the godhead, the different work each one does and the reason for praying to the Father through the Son.
Please continue to pray for the children, that they might grow up to be strong Christian men and women.
AN ARTICLE FROM A PREACHER: UNIFORMITY OR DIVERSITY?
The world has changed so drastically from what it was just a short time ago. Morality has been redefined. Marriage has been redefined. Righteousness has been redefined. Realistically, we are not as concerned about godliness as we once were.
We have become a society characterized by being a - non-judgmental - pluralistic one, where each person uses his own judgment and his own definition about right and wrong. Our tolerant attitude seems to delight that such diversity is the norm.
Jesus established the church to bring unity of mankind together in His body, the church. The first century world had many gods and each of them allowed whatever actions their gods approved. Wrath, anger and injustice was part of paganism. Christ built the church to enable men to change and to be part of God's eternal plan to bring all men together in the one body.
Both paganism and Judaism were splintered by thinking its world view was the right one. - Every man did that which was right in his own eyes. - (Prov. 17:6).
Christianity was designed to bring uniformity, not diversity. Paul gives the Ephesians the basis of the unity and the bond of peace that Christ could bring about by giving seven - ones - of unity. (Eph. 4:4-6)
- There is one body... - (v. 4). That one body is the church (Eph. 1:22-23), and every person becomes part of it by giving up every wrong concept they once embraced. It was not divided into denominations, all wore the same religious name (1 Cor. 1:10-13), and all spoke the same truth.
- There is...one Spirit - (v. 4). In the absence of the written Bible, the Holy Spirit of God gave the same message to every church in the same words. They followed the words of the Spirit. Unity comes about when we use the words given by the Spirit to discover and define truth.
- There is...one hope - (v. 4). The common goal of getting each other to heaven regardless of the cost brought about a common unity, not diversity.
- There is...one Lord - (v. 5). Here is the key to religious unity. Jesus was the one Lord of every member, and they united together listening, not to their own hearts, but to the one Lord.
- There is...one faith - (v. 5). True faith comes only from the one Book, and unity is found when we build our faith on what He says. He alone defines the one faith.
- There is...one baptism - (v. 5). Every person was immersed in water for the same reason. It was the final step into the relationship with the one Lord.
- There is...one God - (v. 6). Unity is His plan, but it will come about only when we truly make Jehovah our God!

Saludos de tu predicador,
Mientras nos esforzamos por trabajar juntos aquí en la iglesia de La Feria de Cristo, recuerdo la unidad que se encuentra en la palabra de Dios. En Mateo 16:18, leemos cómo Jesús dijo que construiría su iglesia (singular). En Juan 17, leímos allí sobre la oración de Jesús para que su pueblo sea uno. Y en Efesios 4:3 y siguientes, leemos: "Esforzado por mantener la unidad del Espíritu en el vínculo de paz. Hay un solo cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, así como estáis llamados en una sola esperanza de vuestro llamado; un Señor, una sola fe, un solo bautismo, un solo Dios y Padre de todos, que está por encima de todos, y a través de todos, y en todos ustedes". Por lo tanto, recordemos que hay una iglesia, que es el cuerpo de Cristo. Sirvamos a Él fielmente siendo esa iglesia de la que leímos en Su palabra.
Espero reunirme con cada uno de ustedes este domingo, en nuestro servicio bilingüe, el estudio bíblico será a las 10 a.m. El servicio de adoración será a las 10:45 a.m., y nuestra comida de comunión seguirá inmediatamente después de la adoración. NIÑOS DIGNOS DE ELOGIOS
El domingo pasado, en el estudio bíblico matutino de los niños, Leia, Zoe, Jillian, Ariel y Benny continuaron estudiando la oración modelo del Señor. Todos los niños abrieron sus Biblias a Mateo y encontraron 9:6. Jillian lo leyó en voz alta. Practicaron Mateo 9:6 en la canción y examinaron los significados de las palabras ye, arte y santificado. También consideraron a las personas de la deidade, el trabajo diferente que cada uno hace y la razón para orar al Padre a través del Hijo.

UN ARTÍCULO DE UN PREDICADOR: ¿UNIFORMIDAD O DIVERSIDAD?
El mundo ha cambiado tan drásticamente desde lo que era hace poco tiempo. La moralidad ha sido redefinida. El matrimonio ha sido redefinido. La justicia ha sido redefinida. Siendo realistas, no estamos tan preocupados por la piedad como antes.
Nos hemos convertido en una sociedad caracterizada por ser una sociedad pluralista, no crítica, donde cada persona utiliza su propio juicio y su propia definición sobre el bien y el mal. Nuestra actitud tolerante parece deleitar que tal diversidad sea la norma.
Jesús estableció la iglesia para reunir la unidad de la humanidad en Su cuerpo, la iglesia. El mundo del primer siglo tenía muchos dioses y cada uno de ellos permitía cualquier acción que sus dioses aprobaran. La ira, la ira y la injusticia eran parte del paganismo. Cristo construyó la iglesia para permitir que los hombres cambien y sean parte del plan eterno de Dios para reunir a todos los hombres en un solo cuerpo.
Tanto el paganismo como el judaísmo se dividieron al pensar que su visión del mundo era la correcta. - Todo hombre hizo lo que estaba bien a sus propios ojos. - (Prov. 17:6).
El cristianismo fue diseñado para traer uniformidad, no diversidad. Pablo da a los Efesios la base de la unidad y el vínculo de paz que Cristo podría traer al dar siete - uno - de unidad. (Ef. 4:4-6)
- Hay un cuerpo... - (v. 4). Ese cuerpo es la iglesia (Ef. 1:22-23), y cada persona se convierte en parte de ella al renunciar a cada concepto erróneo que una vez adoptó. No estaba dividido en denominaciones, todos llevaban el mismo nombre religioso (1 Cor. 1:10-13), y todos decían la misma verdad.
- Hay... un Espíritu - (v. 4). En ausencia de la Biblia escrita, el Espíritu Santo de Dios dio el mismo mensaje a todas las iglesias con las mismas palabras. Ellos siguieron las palabras del Espíritu. La unidad surge cuando usamos las palabras dadas por el Espíritu para descubrir y definir la verdad.
- Hay... una esperanza - (v. 4). El objetivo común de llevarnos unos a otros al cielo, independientemente del costo, provocó una unidad común, no una diversidad.
- Hay... un Señor - (v. 5). Aquí está la clave para la unidad religiosa. Jesús era el único Señor de cada miembro, y se unieron escuchando, no a sus propios corazones, sino al único Señor.
- Hay... una fe - (v. 5). La verdadera fe proviene solo de un Libro, y la unidad se encuentra cuando construimos nuestra fe en lo que Él dice. Solo él define la única fe.
- Hay... un bautismo - (v. 5). Cada persona fue sumergida en agua por la misma razón. Fue el paso final en la relación con el único Señor.
- Hay... un Dios - (v. 6). La unidad es Su plan, ¡pero solo se hará realidad cuando realmente hagamos de Jehová nuestro Dios!
