Benjamin Nanda—Orissa, India

The Quincy Church of Christ has been supporting Benjamin Nanda and his family since 1980. Benjamin is a native of India and became a Christian in the 1970's. This support has grown from individuals in the congregation sending a few dollars to regular monthly support from the church.

He lives in the city of Orissa in northern India. He is known in the area as the senior preacher. He conducts study groups to train young men to become preachers. Benjamin works with numerous small congregations and travels many miles using rented vehicles or borrowed motorbikes. The work is moving at a slow pace, but he is hopeful for younger men to take on the responsibilities for evangelism.

His family includes his wife, Puspa and three adult  married children and one granchild: daughter Pinky who has a son, daughter Rinky, and son Charles.
