In response to our study ad on Islam, the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City contacted us with a letter.  They stated their goal was to educate, unite and build bridges with other faith groups.  The building of bridges of understanding is to be commended.  The goal of the Lord’s church too is to inform and educate concerning the message of the gospel of Jesus the Christ.  As Christ commanded in the Great Commission, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:15-16).

In their letter to us (as well as their television interview on Fox news) they charged our ad as  being "very misguided,” "inaccurate and misleading,” and "for the most part wrong.”  All without an example of our alleged misdeeds.

In their full page ad in the Oklahoman they claimed to accept "religious pluralism and diversity in mankind.”  Surah 49:13 is cited.  However the passage has Arab tribes in mind rather than mankind.  The terrorist bombings among their fellow Muslims, and their attacks on the United States (referred to as the Great Satan) and Europe give lie to their peace loving bromides.
If in deed, the followers of Mohammad desire to become Americans they must do more to oppose and expose the terrorist radicals among them.

If the Koran and Islam is so open hearted about religious diversity, why is Christianity and Judaism persecuted in those countries controlled by Shariah (i.e., the Koran) law.  Why is the building of churches and synagogues discouraged or forbidden in their nations?  Why are non-believing Jews and Christians taxed in Arabic lands?  Contrast this with mosques sprouting throughout the U.S..  Contrast the lack of persecution and discrimination here and that which take place on television throughout the Muslim world against Christians and Jews.

If America and our constitution is held so dear to the hearts of our Muslim friends, why did their representative(s) sue the state of Oklahoma for passing a law that prohibits our judges from taking foreign law and/or Shariah law under consideration in our courts?  Action always speaks louder than words.

Our nation is founded on Christianity.  Our country is unique.  We believe our Creator has indeed endowed us with unalienable rights.  We are willing to extend our freedom to those that are willing to become Americans.  We are one nation under God, as our pledge of allegiance states.  If you are enamored with a culture not based on those traditional values we hold so dear, consider your options.  As most Americans say, love it or leave it.
