Foreword: U.S. Supreme Court Reaches a Queer Decision

Queer is defined as strange or odd. The US Supreme Court has ruled that same sex marriage is to be no longer strange or odd, and is to be legally acceptable throughout the United States. The ruling in itself is weird; inasmuch as the function of the Supreme Court is to make sure laws made by the legislative branch is in harmony with the Constitution rather than to produce new laws.

Although homosexualism is sometimes found among both men and animals -- it is always an aberration. The natural, or normal mating, of men and animals is for the procreation of the species. As God expressed it, both before and after the flood, "be fruitful and multiply" (Genesis 1:22 and 8:17). However, it is becoming more and more obvious that to many, God is no longer welcome in our "public square," or anywhere else in our nation, for that matter!

Marriage has always been defined as "the formal union of a man and a woman, by which they become husband and wife." This universal definition held true regardless of the religion embraced by the couple. The somewhat vulgar term for a couple living together "without benefit of the clergy" was simply "shacking up." It should be observed that when God made mankind, both male and female, in His image (Genesis 1:26-27) and sanctified marriage, it was between Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve.

When Jesus was questioned by His enemies (the Pharisees) concerning divorce, the Lord pointed out: "Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder" (Matthew 19:4-6). To America's founding fathers as well as to those that believe in God and the Bible today -- marriage is between a male and a female. As one bumper sticker put it, "The Bible says it, I believe it, That settles it."

Our enlightened friends on the Left like to expound on the loving relationship of two men or two women, justifying same-sex marriage. This, must of necessity, include a sexual (i.e. homosexual) connotation. David and Jonathan loved each other (1 Samuel 18) and were closer than brothers. However, this in no wise implied they were homosexuals. It is a crying shame that in the 21st century, two close male friends can no longer "batch" together without being suspected of being "gay." Sexual perversion is indeed a "slippery slope."

The Apostle Paul points out, "God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not liked to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient" (Romans 1:26-28). Bestiality (sex with animals) is just over the horizon. Bawdy jokes with animals have existed for some time among the vulgar. It will not be long before someone will demand marriage between themselves and their pet dog or horse -- all based on their mutual love, of course.
