SERVICE WEDNESDAYS --
AUGUST 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th

On four consecutive
Wednesday nights in August, a concentrated effort will be made to reach out to
many who have become disconnected from the body somewhere along the way.  Christians leave the church for lots of
reasons and far too often very little is done to try and get them back.  You are about to have opportunity to
personally be involved in doing something about this as we try and reconnect
with those who have gone.

We have an extensive list
of names of individuals who are no longer present with the church and our goal
is very simple, to find them, to say that we love and care for them and to try
and encourage their return.  Your help is
needed and would be greatly appreciated as there are many to reach out to.

There will be four 'Group
Leaders' who will help steer this endeavor; Jerry Wims, Mark Lane, Johnny Arney
and Jim Brown.  All are currently
involved in regular visitation efforts on behalf of the Franklin church and all
understand what it is we are trying to accomplish.  Each person who volunteers to help will be
assigned to one of these four groups and the group leader will work with you,
help you and encourage you as you do your part.

At 6:15 p.m. on each of
the four Wednesday nights, groups will meet at the building, receive visit
assignments, pray and go out and make their calls.  The results of each visit will be carefully
documented to help us better understand how we can continue to try and make
progress with the persons on whom we are calling.

There will be a 'training
class' conducted on Wednesday evening, July 26th, during our regular
class time to help us be very clear about our mission and well prepared to
address the challenge before us.

It is understood that
making these visits is not for everyone but there will be opportunity for
everyone to be involved.

On these four designated
Wednesday nights, regular classes will still be in progress at our building
including our Wednesday adult class. Those who choose to stay in class will have opportunity to take
assignment sheets so they might send cards or e-mails, write a letter or make a
personal phone call and help encourage people we are trying to reclaim.  Anyone who wants to help can find a place to
do so!

So.....will you think
about, pray about and decide how you can help?

If you wish to be on one
of the visitation teams, you will be paired with another person, you can choose
a visiting 'partner', go with your spouse, etc. Whatever works best for you and will help you be more confident is what
we want you to do.  You will be provided
with very clear information about how we will approach these visits, what we
hope to accomplish and will have opportunity to ask any questions during our
training class on July 26th.

If you wish to remain in
the regular adult Wednesday class during these four weeks, we will also provide
you an opportunity to be involved, provide words of encouragement to others and
to help reconnect with our brothers and sisters.

Those who wish to visit
may indicate their desire to be involved by simply sending an e-mail to Jim
Brown at
jim.brown@franklincoc.org by Wednesday, August 2nd.

Thank you in advance for
your help and your concern and for the love this church continually shows to
others!
