Warlick met Milburn in a 5 day debate at Guy, Ark.
They debated: 1) design of baptism, 2) establishment of the church. Both debaters enjoy the distinction of being good, if not the best debaters of the cause they represent. But, to my mind, Milburn is not equal to some other debaters in the Baptist church. He needs much that is necessary to constitute him a good debater. In no way is he a match for bro. Warlick. Bro. Warlick has been before the public for many years as a master debater; but it had never been my fortune to meet him except for a short time, until during this debate. I had thought of him as a strong man, but I had no adequate conception of his strength. He is the best informed man on the points discussed known to me.
