Steryl A. Watson vs S. J. Gay (One cup proponent)
May 1, 1941
Richmond, Missouri

(By Maurice A. Meredith)

Steryl A. Watson - S. J. Gray, April, 1941 at Richmond, Mo.

Gray is an advocate of the "one cup" and "one class" system. Bro. Watson was not only the master of the situation, but very much of the time it looked as though the opposition could have been more ably represented. The sin of division was charged upon these heretical, but little attempt was ever made to deny bro. Water's withering rebukes. The truth was too perfectly obvious. Bro. Watson has sterling qualities as a debater. Although young, yet he is a veteran of 34 discussions. His voice is good, he is logical and keen, and mighty in conflict. He carries everything before him like a rushing torrent.
