R. L. Whiteside vs L. P. Whitaker (Russellite)

Beginning on August 1t and continuing through eight two-hour sessions.

I met Mr. J. P. Whitaker (Russellite) in a discussion at the school house about 6 miles north of Randlett, Okla. Four propositions were discussed: embracing the nature of man, endless punishment, the millennium with a second chance, and baptism for the remission of sins to Jews and Gentiles alike.

Large crowds and much good will existed. All seemed to have a good time. I stayed and preached for a few days. I studies the effect the debate had on the people. Mr. Whitaker's people heard my preaching and complimented the sermons and many of them were shaken in their belief. Some were ready to leave Russellism. The denominations who oppose this doctrine were pleased with us.
