I have just returned from the debate in Indianapolis, Ind (Jan. 3-6) in the Garfield Heights church where W. L. Totty serves as preacher. 250 preachers were in attendance. Both men are good debaters, possibly as good as could have been selected on either side. I have known and loved both men for many years. One thing I do know, some preachers changed from opposition to approval of orphan's homes. Three of them sat in my presence at one time and told me that they had changed. I have never seen a job done better than bro. Wood did this one. We love bro. Porter and pray that he will come back to the truth, and to the high esteem he is held among God's people. He did fail in this debate, beyond doubt.
