Two subjects discussed: (1) "Sanctification a second blessing is obtained by a baptism of the Holy Spirit in answer to prayer." (2) "It is a cleansing from sin received after justification." Bro. Barrett offered $50.00 in county paper for scriptures that taught this doctrine. Mr. Garland tried to produce the scriptures. He wanted three judges, as he said he did not expect to convince Bro. Barrett. The discussion lasted all day with dinner on ground.
