J. W. Chism vs Croswell (Adventist)
December 12, 1929
Sulphur, Oklahoma

(By Wayne M. Largent)

This debate began in Sulphur, Oklahoma, Monday, November 18, and ran six days.

Mr. Crosswell represents the Second Adventists and is one of the strongest sectarian debaters I have ever heard. He is nice and gentle in his deportment and acts like a gentleman in debate. He refrains from 'mud-slinging' and will grapple with an argument in order to uphold Adventism.

Bro. Chism's work on establishment of kingdom and the nature of man was far superior to any I have ever heard. The brethren here were well pleased with the discussion. Mr. Crosswell said Bro. Chism is the strongest man he has ever met.

Fifteen preachers were here (not listed).
