Four propositions were discussed. Each affirmed two days. One of the best debates ever attended. Bro. Christian makes few arguments but no one can press a point harder and make his opponent feel the force of it more than he. Christian asked Gregory if Luke told the truth in Acts 8:13 "Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized." He also inquired if Christ told the truth when he said in Mark 16:16: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." Gregory evaded a direct answer, referring many times in this connection to I John 2:19.

A. J. Sloan moderated for Gregory; Leslie L. Spear for Christian. A little more than a year ago, at a joint discussion, Sloan said that he did not believe that Christ said what is recorded in Mark 16:16 while Gregory said at the same time that he did believe Christ said it." Such debates are bound to do good.
