E. G. Creacy (Horse Cave, Kentucky) vs C. B. Massey (Missionary Baptist)
December 22, 1932
near Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee

November 29 - December 2 near Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. Subject: General Church Question.

Bro. Creacy though yound in years did his part well. His arguments were clear-cut and scriptural. He refuted all arguments made by Massey. His manner all the time was Christian. Mr. Massey affirmed the church was set up during personal life of Jesus when he selected his apostles. He denied Mark 16:9-20 being scripture but quoted it several times later on. He admitted Baptist Church not named in scriptures. His only 'get by' was his wit and humor, which brought repeated laughs, applause and amens from his members. In his last speech he was acclaimed the winner, when two of his young female members mounted the stage and wrapped him in yards of blue ribbon. "They have their reward." None of this seemed to bother Creacy. Good order and pleasant feelings.
