A. G. Freed Reports
June 14, 1921

I am now with the church at Marietta, Mississippi. This is the old battlefield of the Srygley-Honnell debate of many years ago; and also the home of Freed-Pigue debate of recent years. The church is alive. It is interesting to note that many of our best members were Methodists during these discussions. They learned the truth during the heat of debate and are now contending for the way they once persecuted. From here I go to Middleton, Tennessee. This is another old battlefield, the scene of the Freed-Penick debate and the Freed-Pigue debate. Now we have a splendid membership, and a neat new house of worship built since these debates.
