My debate with T. H. Spears, of the so-called "Church of the Lord Jesus," continued four nights. 700 people crowded into the theater each night. It was a pleasant investigation and good attention.
Subjects: Are Holy Spirit baptism and its attendant miracles a thing of the past? I preached at Lynn Street, Parkersburg, W. Va. over the Lord's day before the debate, and for South Side over the Lord's day following, These congregations joined together in sponsoring the debate. It stirred up a lot of Bible reading.
