R. H. Johnson vs H. Clay Griffin (Seventh Day Adventist)
(No date given)
Delaware, Arkansas

(By Claude W. Myers)

Dec. 15-19.

All eager for debate at Delaware. Griffin had held two meetings there. He gained 6 followers; 4 from disciples of Christ (two came back and confessed faults). Many others were confused. Griffin made all arrangements to suit himself. Griffin affirmed the 7th day is binding upon all Christians today. He based most of his arguments on the O.T. Brother Johnson answered every one and gave him arguments which he would not try to answer.

When bro. Johnson began in the affirmative, all eyes were opened to the truth. His arguments were very plain and forceful. Truth never won a more complete victory. People from other churches said Griffin could not sustain his proposition. Good feelings prevailed.
