My debates with J. N. Hall is Miss. and Ala. were both pleasant and profitable and the brethren rejoice in the good that was done. At Millport, Ala., after the debate I baptized 9 persons, at Tilden, Miss. I held a six day meeting and baptized 19. Several were from Baptist families and 4 from the Baptist Church. Some brethren say that debates are failures; but when conducted in the right way, I am sure that much good can be done. It would afford me pleasure to meet Mr. Hall at any place the brethren might desire, for I believe much good can be done.
