J.M. Martin was a Godite. I spent 1⁄2 hour in establishing the church on the day of Pentecost. When through, my opponent took me by the hand and said, "You are right." This forever ruined Mr. Martin on his doctrine. On the last night of debate I asked Mr. Martin to diagram Acts 2:38 on the board. He ignored it. Geo. W. Ashton, a Godite, arose and asked me to diagram it. I did so. He said it was wrong. He diagramed it. A lady school teacher said he was wrong on his diagram. I think truth prevailed. A fine spirit all the way through the debate.
