Mr. Blevins aff. For two nights: "The scriptures teach that the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and miraculous spiritual gifts are for the church of today and in the days of the apostles." Bro. Phillips erased all doubt as to the unscripturalness of Mr. Blevins' position, clearly showing that the age of miracles ended in the first century.
The debate was well attended. Brethren were pleased with the work of bro. Phillips. We should welcome every chance to debate. The cause always grows with discussion.
