C. D. Plum vs W. W. McMicken (Church of God - 7th Day)
March 21, 1935
(Location Unknown)

(By C. D. Plum)

Mr. McMicken's assertion that the Catholics changed the day of worship from 7th day to 1st day was overthrown with the Bible and with history. It was shown by history that the "decree" of Constantine in 321 A.D., instead of binding 1st day worship upon people, was simply a decree to protect Christians who had already been meeting for nearly 300 years on the 1st day to worship God. Constantine did not start or the worship on such a day. We showed by many historians and from the Bible that the Christians were meeting to worship on the 1st day of the week 331 years before the council held at Laodicea in 364 A.D.
