W. C. Phillips vs Mr. Saddler (Methodist)
January 6, 1921
Cleveland, Tennessee

(By Vernon Rozar)

Held at Sugar creek Methodist house, south of Cleveland, Tenn., Nov. 22-25.

This was a complete victory for truth. Propositions: Baptism of remission of sins, sprinkling or pouring for baptism. Mr. Saddler tried to win the sympathy of the people by ridiculing bro. Phillips. He was applauded several times, but because of his fun making and never for any point made from the Bible. It was obvious he was unable to meet the scriptural and logical arguments presented by bro. Phillips.

We hope much good will result from bro. Phillips defense of truth. He is a young man, but strong in the use of God's word. We believe that he is fully able to defend any scriptural subject.
