A discussion at Cedar Grove schoolhouse on Little River between B.F. Webb and bro. R. V. Staggs. Jan. 11-22, 1915.
On the first day bro. Staggs, from Carter's Creek, Maury Co. Tenn, affirmed: That baptism administered to a penitent believer is for (in order to) the remission of sins. On 2nd day Mr. Webb affirmed: Foot washing is a church ordinance to be practiced in the public of the church.
The debate lasted four hours each of two days. Good crowds attended and the order was ideal. Each disputant made an excellent fight. Music was furnished by the well-trained Little Swsan Choir on Tuesday, When bro. Staggs was in the negative, he gave 15 minutes from his 2nd speech and 10 minutes from his last speech to the singers. W. H. Campbell moderated for bro. Staggs.
