This six day debate was held at County Line, Tenn. by W.S. Ervine (Separate Baptist) and O. H. Tallman (Christian).
Four subjects discussed: Baptist church, design of baptism, operation of the Holy Spirit, apostasy.
Mr. Ervine made a vigorous defense Baptist teaching, but no man is able to stand for long in the face of truth ably presented. Bro. Tallman (my brother in the flesh) challenged Mr. Ervine to meet him again at Huntland or Cowan, but could not get him to make the arrangements. No doubt much good seed was sown and the reaping will come in due time.
