Debate held at Centralia, Okla, Nov. 9-11, between J. D. Tant, the old "war horse" of the church of Christ and C. C. Agee, noted P.M. debater.
The question was: "Is salvation conditional or unconditional?" During the first day and a half bro. Tant affirmed faith, repentance and baptism for the remission of sins.
I shall not give report of the discussion other than to state that Mr. Agee admitted that, according to Primitive Baptist doctrine, a man can go to heaven without believing the Bible. He also admitted, when under the fire of bro. Tant's arguments, that "FOR" in Acts 2:38 means "in order to." I believe good will be the result of bro. Tant's defense of the truth.
