Tennessee Children's Home Collection: Once again North Hamilton exceeded expectations in donating goods and money to the Children's Home. Almost $1700 in needed items were purchased, but with coupons, sales, and tax exemption, the cost was only $1034. We also sent $645 in cash to assist in buying perishable items. Again, thanks to Rick Essex and to all those who contributed.

 Game Night: Curt and Jessica Stewart have expressed an interest in resuming a congregational game night meeting in the fellowship room. Tentative plans are to meet on a Friday night, once a quarter, for a couple of hours of games, finger food, and fun. The first game night with Travis Fridell coordinating it will be Friday night, May 27. Bring a favorite game, cards, dominoes, etc. and plan on being at the building by approximately 6:30. Snack foods are always welcome.

VBS Needs: One of the most essential needs for a successful VBS is willing teachers. We have needs for teachers for our July VBS. We need teachers for the Nursery and the 3-4-year-old class. We will be ordering material in a couple of weeks, so we need to fill this very quickly. See Terry Pursley or Joel Laney today if you are willing to help.

Summer Series: Two weeks from Tuesday evening is the beginning of our Summer Series for 2016. Our first speaker will be Ben Bailey from the McMinnville Central congregation. He will address the question, "Is it right to use instrumental music in worship?"

Thank You: As mentioned in the congregation meeting, North Hamilton recently donated $10,000 to the Martin-Boyd Christian Home's Endowment Fund. There is a nice Thank You letter on the bulletin board explaining the use of the fund.

Teacher Changes: If you are teaching a class and desire a change, please consult with the education director, Terry Pursley, or the elders before approaching someone to replace you.

Did You Know?

Both Abby and Emma Fridell were award winners at Chattanooga High Center for Creative Arts. Abby won the Spanish I award while Emma is awarded the sixth grade vocal award. Way to go girls.

Tommy Qualls received his MBA from UTC last Saturday. Congratulations are due as this is quite an accomplishment.

Art and Gloria Greer attended the Louisville, Georgia, congregation last Sunday where Jimmy Aaron preaches. Art gave Jimmy a brief rest as he spoke in place of Jimmy. North Hamilton has supported the work there for several years.
