Attitudes

The word attitude is defined as a state of mind or ones disposition. Our attitude as a Christian is the most important quality of a Christian. Our attitude affects everything in the life of a Christian; therefore it is our duty to constantly examine ourselves to determine if our attitudes are pleasing to God. Here are a few things that depend upon our attitude:

1. Attitude affects our service to God (Is 6:8)
2. Attitude affects our sacrifice and humility in life (Phil 2:5-8)
3. Attitude affects our salvation (Matt 18:3)
4. Attitude affects how we treat one another (I John 4:20-21;Luke 10:25-37)
5. Attitude affects our obedience to God (Rom 6:17)
6. Attitude affects our singing (Col 3:16)
7. Attitude affects our giving (II Cor 9:7; Acts 20:35)
8. Attitude affects our praying (I John 5:14)
9. Attitude affects our teaching (Phil 1:15-17)
10. Attitude affects us when partake of the Lord’s Supper (I Cor 11:28-29)

Attitude is everything it affects every facet of Christianity. Being a Christian without the proper attitude is like fire without heat, it is useless and ineffective. The proper Christian attitude is the one thing that fellow Christians and the world should clearly see revealed in anyone who claims to be a Christian
