MAMARONECK, N.Y. — A part-time assistant's stolen-money-funded life of luxury could cost her 15 years in state prison.Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced Tuesday that Joann Perrino, a 60-year-old Yonkers resident, pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $1 million from her employer. The district attorney's office said Perrino initiated transfers and wrote checks from her employer's account to pay for personal expenses, including car and mortgage payments, travel expenses, spa treatments and, on one occasion, a $4,366 shopping spree on clothes. The district attorney's office said Perrino stole $987,428 from January 2009 to May 2014 before being arrested by Town of Mamaroneck police May 22, 2014.
COMMENT: Thieves. How "famous" they are. Without them, the Security industry would disappear, but thanks to thieves, they have a livelihood. Christ spoke about them in the Bible (Matthew 6:19-21). The ignorant and unlearned claim the oldest profession is prostitution. Not so. It's the thief. Some humans just love to steal what others have worked for...the assets of others without having to work. Too bad. Because they don't fear God or His Word, they have no chance to enter Heaven (1 Peter 4:15-18).
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:" "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:" "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
"But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters." "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf." "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?"
