1 Tim 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." This verse is indeed interesting because it does not give a setting like was given in 1 Cor 14.  We understand that women did teach men in some instances, but not publicly.  Notice Ac 18:26 "And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly." We each have roles that are dictated by God.  It is not our place to try to assign them, but only to follow what God has asked us to do.  Men have the responsibility of teaching publicly, not women.  1 Cor 14:34 tells women to keep quietly in the assembly.  1 Tim 2:12 does not assign a setting, so the would include anywhere that is not excluded by any other Bible verse, like Acts 18:26 where they were taken aside privately.
