PROCRASTINATION
My sister was bemoaning the fact
that she had procrastinated cleaning and organizing her house for a long time.
Since she was planning to entertain, she felt a lot of pressure to get moving.
That afternoon she phoned,
sounding glum.
"I went to the
bookstore," she explained. "And I bought a book on how to get
organized. I was all fired up, and decided to clean out all the shelves in the
living room. While I was working, I found the same book. I had bought it a
couple of years ago." I never got around to reading it.

According to Zippia https://www.zippia.com/advice/procrastination-statistics/

75% of people

The scriptures speak to the
problem of procrastination:
Ecclesiastes
9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do
it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in
the grave where you are going.
John 9:4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me
while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Ephesians
5:15--16 See then that you walk
circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the
days are evil.
Ecclesiastes
11:4 He who observes the wind will not
sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap.
Procrastination can lead to
devastating consequences.
Luke 12:47 And that servant who knew his master's will,
and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with
many stripes.
May we always resist the
temptation to procrastinate especially in obedience to the will of God. Galatians
6:9--10 And let us not grow weary while
doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
