ARE YOU WORSHIPING CHRIST IN VAIN?
Give a smile, have a nice day, are you worshiping Christ in spirit and in truth? Did you know that you could be worshiping God in vain? Let see what the bible says to this, Mathews 15: 8 - 9 " vs. 8 this people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and honoreth me with their lips but their heart is far from me. Vs. 9: But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Let us see where they are going wrong in this dispensation. In Mathews 16: 13 - 19 Jesus had something to tell His Disciples concerning His Church so asked them two questions the answers would set the foundation for the establishment of His Church. In vs. 18, He pointed out to Peter whom he Peter was as also declared that upon " this rock" I will build " MY " Church. Did He build the Church upon Peter? " No I do not think so, " He had already declared who Peter was in vs. 17, son of Barjona and that Peter was not greater than the other eleven but His father God revealed the information to him. With that fact that God chose Peter to reveal this very important information, Peter received a blessing. What was that blessing? to get the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. This means Peter would be the first preacher to begin the building of " JESUS' CHURCH " here on earth. The rock is referring to Jesus Christ, the chief corner stone which the so-called builders refuse to give preeminence to or to follow in all of His commandments and doctrines. Remember this prayer?
