Scott Bloodworth was hired by the Sitka church April 1, 2006. Prior to his service with the Sitka congregation Scott served for eight and one-half years as the Youth minister for the Main Street congregation located in Milan, TN.
Scott is well known in the Milan area for his avid support of the schools and civic activities including: YMCA programs, Boy Scouting, Blood drives, and faith-based community efforts. Scott also serves as the Lead Chaplain at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson,TN.
He has been married for 27 years to the former Martha Kay Patton. They have two children - Thomas and Kay.
Scott graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, Tn in 1983.
He earned his B.A. in Bible from Heritage Christian University in Florence, AL in 2000. A Masters of Ministry degree from Freed-Hardeman University in 2005 and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Freed-Hardeman in 2014.
Scott was baptized into Christ at Sitka in 1985 and his marriage to Martha was performed in the Sitka building. Oddly enough, that wedding was performed by Martha's father, F.T. Patton, who was serving as the preacher here at that time!
