Ruben is a native of Mississippi and a 2008 graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching. He attended Amridge University where he earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. He then went on to attend The Chicago School of Professional Psychology earning a M.A. in Psychology. Also, Ruben attended Liberty University earning a M.Div. in Chaplaincy and he attended Cornell University earning a certificate in Psychology of Leadership. Ruben has been preaching the Gospel since 2007 and has served as the Associate Minister at the East Memphis Church of Christ and Merton Street Church of Christ. Ruben has college teaching experience, serving as a professor of psychology at Southwest Tennessee Community College, Victory University and Lemoyne Owen College. Ruben is a Board Certified Chaplain and has worked as a chaplain at Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care. 

Ruben is married to Kiera Williams and they have three children, Rebekah, Brandon and Ruben Jr.

Most importantly, Ruben is a Christian and he loves God. Ruben loves people and it is his prayer and heart's desire that he can be helpful to all people who seek God. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
