Often, when a new Christian has been baptized, we make a reference to "the angels rejoicing" over the newly saved soul. The angels ARE rejoicing over the baptism of Birgit ("Beemer") Meyer Saturday afternoon! The rejoicing among her brothers and sisters here in Santa Cruz is especially great and very sweet because it has been such a long time in coming and is an answer to so many prayers. Beemer has been faithfully attending services here for many years. Her original introduction to the church was many years ago, when she took a tumble from her bike in the church driveway and Ken Robb was there to help her up. She spent time with Ken and Nelmarie learning about the Bible, and was a regular at our ladies' Bible class. How very blessed that Ken and Nelmarie were here for this special time! How blessed we all are to welcome our new sister!
