Kymberly Cliatt - denominational

ckym477@aol.com - Is it sad to say that you think, that there are people like our family or friends who have passed away and were members of a denominational church, most likely doomed to hell for their beliefs?

Don - Re: denominational

don_walker56@yahoo.com - When it comes to the subject of making judgments on the eternal destination of deceased friends or family members..it is an area that falls outside of the realm of the things that the Christian has responsibility to decide. The greatest news regarding all those who have died is that they are in the hands of a loving and merciful God who will do what is right. The answer that I can give is that God is very clear about what He expects of those of us who are still alive. He has not offered any other way of salvation except obedience to His Word. In Romans 6:23 Gid makes it clear that all haved sinned and that the wages earned for sin is death. Jesus is very clear in Mark 16:15-16 that without belief salvation is not possible. As Peter preaches the first gospel sermon in Acts 2:38 that salvation requires repentance or a change of life to assure a home in heaven. Both Jesus and Peter would furhter state that forgiveness of sins takes place as baptism is for the "forgiveness of sins" (Acts 2:38). After sins are forgiven in the waters of baptism for a penitent believer, Revelation 2:10 points out the necessity of living faithfully until death to receive "a crown of life".
To give the answer to the destiny of those who have already passed into eternity, God does not give us the responsiblity of judging, He will do that. He does expect us to live steadfast lives accoording to His Word the Bible as it will be the standard that all are judged by.
Sorry for the delay in addressing your question.

Kymberly Cliatt - Re: denominational

I appreciate your response to my question. Although, I already know those answers. I neeed to know if this is the way to Heaven, then most religions believe in baptisim for the remissions of their sins. So why do all religions try to convert you to their belief? Who is right and who is wrong? Also, how am I to go to Heaven when I sin daily. I ask for forgivness every day and yet I still sin and knowingly sin at times. How do I know that I am still going to be with Christ in Heaven? I try to live my life right but, i am driving myself crazy, because if I sin daily how am I able to go to Heaven?

Kymberly Cliatt - Signs of the times

kimcliatt@yahoo.com - With all that has been going in our world the last couple of years, I am sure people are truly starting to wonder about the "Word of God". "Is it true?"

Well, I know that His Word is True! But , my question is, the wheather, the war, the sickness, the plagues,
the strain to just survive the everday life. From buying groceries to driving down the road without having major road rage.
Now, I know all about the begining of time and the sin free world, and truly we are not sin free. So, are these signs of the "End of Time" like John talked about in Revelation?

Thanks,
Kymberly

Don Walker - Re: Signs of the times

don_walker56@yahoo.com - First, I think it is appropriate to recognize that we are in the 'last days' of God's dealings with man. Christ's law is the last message God will send to man.
Is the world perfect today? Absolutely not. You recognized that in your posting. Your question seems to lean in several directions. First, dealing with all of the problems of suffering in the world. There is suffering in the world because the world today is not like God made it. God made a world free from sin and a perfect environment for man. (Gen 3:1-6) Man through his choices brought sin into our lives and to the natural world. The items that you mentioned are all caused by sin, either directly or indirectly because of the presence of sin in the world and the fact that sin even impacted the natural world.
You then make reference to a ‘sin free world’ and the fact that ‘we are not sin free’. This is very true in the fact that we will still commit sin but we can be ‘sin free’ in the fact of God’s forgiveness of those sins through our obedience to Jesus Christ. By our obedience to God’s will, revealed through His Son, can make us forgiven, which means our sins are taken away. Does this mean will never sin again? Unfortunately not. But it is a promise from God that if we are faithful to Him that His Son’s blood cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) Hence, as Christians, we can live lives free from the guilt of sin.
Finally, regarding the “End of Time”. While we are living in the ‘last days’ of God’s dealings with man, we cannot know whether the day will be soon (as man counts time) or in many years or thousands of years. There is no way to go the scriptures and determine when God is sending Christ to return to the earth (Matt 25:36 among other scriptures teach this) but we can be sure that the day is coming for each of us, whether it be at our death or the second coming of Christ and that we each will stand before the judgment bar of God and give an answer for the things we have done in this life, both good and bad. (Heb 9:27)
Thanks for your posting. I hope this has answered your questions.

kimcliatt@yahoo.com - Thank You,
For taking the time out to answer my questions.
All of your answers made perfect sense.

I guess, I look around at how bad everything seems and it kind of makes me stronger.I want to be a faithful servant, to get out of this world and make it to Heaven.

Thank You
