We are a
small church with a GREAT commission!

Mark 16:15-16
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
every creature.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved;
but he who does not believe will be condemned."

From the beginning, God's will has been that all men would have the opportunity to be saved and live with Him forever. The Scriptures emphasize that desire of His many times and in various ways. He has drawn no boundaries to keep men away from Him; instead, He has opened many gates of opportunity to know Him and His will for man.

Man can only obtain salvation through the GRACE of God. Some have attempted to define grace as "unmerited favor." The apostle Paul says we are "saved by grace, through faith" and reminds us that we have not earned it but that it is "the free gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8-10). While we have defined grace in those terms, probably none of us can really grasp all that is involved in the grace of God, and it is certain none of us has the power to explain it adequately to anyone else. Yet, that is our responsibility. As Paul says, we have become the "ambassadors for Christ, beseeching" men to accept the salvation He offers (2 Corinthians 5:20).

The Scriptures explain that a person must appropriate that grace to himself or herself through OBEDIENCE to God's plan of Salvation. Even Jesus proved Himself faithful through obedience (Hebrews 5:8-9). While Jesus was on this earth and in His ministry, He taught men what He wanted them to do. The apostles continued to teach those things as recorded in the New Testament after his return to the Father (John 14:26; 16:13; Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:10-11), and He calls men to follow Him in all things (Matthew 16:24; Luke 9:57-62).

Jesus taught men to BELIEVE in Him as the Son of God. (John 8:24) and taught the apostles to cause men to become believers (Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:18-20). Paul explained that the process of faith is achieved today by people being taught the Word of God (Romans 10:13-17).

The apostles taught believers that they should REPENT of their sins (Acts 2:38 just as Jesus had demanded when He preached (Luke 13:3-5). Repentance means to turn away from doing wrong and to be sorry for sin. It also means that the person takes a positive step by starting to practice doing what is right (those things found in God's Word). Thereafter, that person's life should be characterized by righteousness (right doing), although we know that everyone will make mistakes (1 John 1:7-10; 2:1-2).

Jesus urged men to be willing to CONFESS Him to others (Matthew 10:32). In the King James Version of the Bible, Acts 8:37 records that the Ethiopian treasurer confessed Jesus as the Son of God.

Jesus instructed the apostles to BAPTIZE those who sought salvation (Mark 16:15-16, Matthew 28:18-20). The apostles and other preachers followed those instructions throughout the book of Acts. (See Acts 2:37-41, 8:12, 37-39; 10:47-48; 16:15, 25-34; 22:12-16). Baptism (a total immersion in water) symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus according to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and Romans 6:3-4. In being baptized, one comes in contact with the death of Jesus (Romans 6:3-4), which is where He shed His blood. It is that blood that can remove sin from one's soul (Matthew 26:28, Ephesians 1:7). When the blood has been applied in baptism, sin is forgiven and GOD ADDS THE SAVED to His church (Acts 2:41, 47)

If we can help you learn more about salvation and how to begin to enjoy that relationship with God, please contact us. We are here to serve.

"Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;" "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;"
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
"And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures," "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:" "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." And ye are witnesses of these things. "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."
"And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;" "Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
"And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest." "And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." "And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father." "Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God." "And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house." "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" "But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?" "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
"For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." "Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?" "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
"And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?" "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call." "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation." Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?" "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;" "By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain." "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;" "And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
